The purported blackmail by Sarah Kwabla, a 21 year old allegedly raped by the captain of Ghana Blackstars and Al-Ain striker Asamoah Gyan according to the police was closed a month ago after both parties agreed to settle the case on mutually agreed terms.
According to a report filed by Joy FM’s Fred Smith on News Night, lawyer for the footballer, Kissi Adjabeng and Asamoah Gyan’s manager filed a case at the Odorkor police station after the alleged raped victim threatened to make public a sexual encounter between her and Gyan.
According to the report, Sarah Kwabla upon invitation denied issuing such threat or having a tape of the sexual encounter that happened.
Lawyer for Sarah Kwabla however explains the terms were finally not adhered to after Asamoah Gyan refused to pay a visit to Sarah’s family upon request.
