Actress Stella Damasus’ Ex-Husband Addresses Her Following Allegations That She Found Out About Their Divorce Online
In a dramatic twist to an already public breakup, Daniel Ademinokan, the ex-husband of Nigerian actress Stella Damasus, has taken to social media to refute recent claims made by the actress regarding the circumstances of their divorce.
Stella Damasus recently stated in an interview that she learnt about her divorce online—an allegation that has since sparked widespread commentary across social media platforms. However, Daniel has now responded with a series of Instagram stories that appear to contradict that narrative.
In his pointed post, Daniel begins by addressing Damasus directly, referring to her as “Queen Mother”. He clarifies the timeline of their separation and divorce: “Five years since the separation. Three since the divorce. Still, you just can’t let go.” He claims he’s kept silent all this time, stating he’s “seen nothing,” “done nothing,” and yet continues to live “rent-free” in her narrative.
“Silence is not guilt. Distance is not weakness,” he wrote, indicating that his decision to remain quiet has been misconstrued as an admission of guilt. “But lies? Especially ones I have receipts for? That’s a different story.”
To back his claims, Daniel posted a screenshot of an email allegedly from Stella Damasus, dated July 29, 2021. In the message, she clearly states her intention to proceed with the divorce process. The email references events from September 2020, when Daniel reportedly left their home and informed her that he would not be returning. “It became clear that our marriage was over,” she wrote, urging for a “civil and painless divorce process”.
Daniel didn’t stop there. In a follow-up post, he accused Damasus of “twisting facts with confidence” and warned her to “choose your next story wisely because I came with footnotes.”
The posts have ignited a fresh wave of conversation online, with fans and followers now questioning the accuracy of Stella’s earlier statements. While she has yet to respond publicly to Daniel’s counterclaims, the unfolding digital spat serves as a reminder of how personal relationships—especially involving public figures—can become fodder for public scrutiny.
