Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist Moliy has withdrawn from her scheduled performance at the One Caribbean Music Festival in Trinidad & Tobago, citing a lack of communication and unfulfilled contractual obligations from the festival organizers.
According to a statement made available to Nydjlive, Moliy arrived in Trinidad excited to engage with her fans and perform. However, upon arrival, her team received no contact from the event organizers, making it impossible for her to proceed with the performance as planned.
“Combined with their failure to meet key contractual obligations, this has made it impossible for the performance to proceed,” the statement read.
While expressing disappointment, the statement emphasized that Moliy and her team remain committed to working with professional partners who uphold mutual respect.
Moliy had been eagerly anticipating connecting with her Trinidadian fan base and hopes to return to the twin-island republic “at the right time and under the right circumstances to Shake It To the Max.”
The artist’s management thanked fans for their ongoing support and love, reassuring them of future opportunities to see her perform in Trinidad & Tobago.
The One Caribbean Music Festival had a star-studded lineup, including Vybz Kartel, Sizzla, Chronic Law, Malie Don, Lady Lava, among others.
