3Music Awards 20: This Is Why Kofi Kinaata’s Song of The Year Win Is The TopMost
The much anticipated 3Music Awards 20 is done and dusted.
Quite different from previous editions, the 2020 edition dubbed Stay At Home edition was held virtually with close to no live audience due to safety guidelines as issued by the Government of Ghana in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic.
With close to 30 different awards presented on the night, Sarkodie won the highest number of awards however Kofi Kinaata, was the BIGGEST winner at the 3Music Awards 20 with just two awards coming his way.
Having grabbed the Highlife Song of The Year, Kofi Kinaata went ahead to bag the most enviable Song of the Year Award.
Why Is Song of The Year Award The Biggest At 3Music Awards 20?
As issued by the organizers in several statements prior to the awards and in the category definitions, the Song of the Year Award is a 4 in 1 Award.
Unlike other categories where the award goes to a single winner, the Song of the Year Award does not only go to the act/group whose voices are heard on the song but recognizes the songwriter, producer, sound engineer and or mixer of the song.
This means all other contributors to the making of the song automatically are winners in the awards making category the topmost award at the 3Music Awards.
