XL Productions and GTV, organisers of the Miss eXcel Plus Pageant (MXP 4) has launched this year’s edition of the reality show.
The show which is in its 4th season was launched at the plush house donated by K.A. Estates in Accra to project and uphold the beauty and dignity of the full-figured African woman.
Miss eXcel seeks to inculcate the habit of a sustainable healthy living habit in plus size ladies. This is done through a structural weight management program placing emphasis on good nutrition, exercise and rest.
The sixteen (16) well-curved ladies contesting for this year’s crown were unveiled at the launch.
They are Enam Sika Tetevi, 19 (Enam), Gifty Hammond, 28 (DD), Ibrahim Humu Hira, 24 (Kuuri), Janicepeal M. Botchway, 23 (Love), Nadia Teiko Amanor 20, (Nadia), Linda Adu Boahene, 26 (Lin), Abigail Apraku, 26 (Abi) and Mayfair Atswei Ashong 24 (Atswei),
The rest are Efya Konadu, 20 (Efya), Belinda Ahenfo (Bell), Dorinda Egyiriba Armstrong-Mensah, 28 (Egyiriba), Princess Stella Dzifa Avorwlanu 24, (Zion), Dolling Nana Dewi Bernice, 22 (Dolling), Godwina Naa Amerley Amaah, 20 (Naa), Agbenyame Rhoda Ohui Akpene, 21 (Rhoda), Precious Abena Mensah, 20 (PM).
Peace FM’s ‘Kokroko’ Morning Show, Kwame Sefa Kayi, popularly known as ‘Chairman’ was confirmed as a judge for the 13-week show which will be aired on Ghana’s Station of the Nation, GTV.
Other judges are News Anchor on GTV, Gifty Anti, Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Terry Ofosu Bright and Mawuli Zogbenu.
According to the organisers, this year’s winner/queen will send a positive signal to those that believe that the plus is timid and cannot compete with her size in this contemporary world.
