Ghanaian hiplife turned Gospel singer and preacher Yaw Siki has in a shocking turn of events turned down an offer by Ghanaian born UK Minister Sonnie Badu and his ministry to take care of him for a while.
The musician made this known in an interview with KMJ on Hitz FM in Accra.
According to Yaw Siki, his decision to turn down the help is premised on the Holy Bible.
“I love my brother Sonni Badu so much and I respect him. What he did is an act of righteousness but Matthew 6:1-4 says, ‘…So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret…’ So based on this word, I am not able to take the offer,” he noted.
He therefore believes the Minister genuinely should not have made the call a public one.
Couple of weeks ago, Sonnie Badu and his ministry opted to support Yaw Siki after sad news of how he lived on monies made from spreading the word of God went viral after an interview with MzGee.

It is unknown how Sonnie Badu would take this response from Yaw Siki but the latter has revealed God has been grateful to him since the news went viral as several people have opted to help him.
