Ahead of the biggest night in the Ghanaian music calendar, Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards in partnership with Close Up have announced the winner for the Unsung Category at this year’s awards.
In a keenly contested battle, BHIM Nation and Stonebwoy’s protegé Kelvyn Boy won over 5 other contestants including Harbour City Recordz signed artist Real MC, Dope Nation, That Gyal, OBK and Christian.
This presents Kelvyn Boy a performance slot at music’s biggest night, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards night, which will show live on TV3 in Ghana, across Africa on DSTV, and across the world on social media.
For the first time ever in the history of the award, the Unsung category will receive a special Awards Plaque sponsored by Closeup, and a performance slot on Closeup music activation platforms.
This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Unsung Category promises to be the most exciting.
The 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday April 14 2018.
