Veteran Ghanaian high life musician Rex Omar has disclosed he is in no position to judge Pastor Ofori Amponsah for his decision to return to highlife music.
Despite damning comments and accusations for his decision to return to highlife music, the Paapa hitmaker (Rex Omar) told the host, Sir Evans on the Angel Entertainment Show, that he had no right to judge Pastor Ofori Amponsah for his decision to return to high life music.
He however stated that the confusion around Ofori Amponsah’s return stems from the fact that upon denouncing highlife music, he asked that none of his music be consumed since it was unwholesome.
Rex Omar was contributing to a debate that sought to find out which popular genre of music (either hiplife or highlife) was of great importance to the Ghanaian society in terms of content.
He believed there was the need to keep both genres despite the growing challenges.
Pastor Ofori Amponsah recently return to high life my releasing his first single ‘Alewa’ which featured multiple award winning act, Sarkodie.
He also shocked a number of people when he performed at the Kasapreko Alomo Sankwan event held in Kumasi.
