Calvin, Charlyn and Ciara Fosuh, children of the late Ghanaian music star Charles Kwadwo Fosu and Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, have denied their involvement in an ongoing lawsuit.
Contrary to wrongly yet widely circulated publications, the 3 denied any involvement in the ongoing lawsuit.
According to a statement shared with Nydjlive.com, the children stated that their interest is to see their father given a befitting burial.
“We, the children of Akosua Serwaa and Daddy Lumba, wish to clarify that we are not parties to this legal process and that we do not wish to be involved in any disputes or conflicts surrounding the funeral arrangements.
Our only desire is to honour our father’s memory in a dignified, respectful, and peaceful manner, befitting his remarkable life and contributions.”
The children have asked the public to be measured in their commentary surrounding the issues.
“We stand together as his children from all sides of the family, united in our love and respect for our father. At this difficult time, we wish to focus solely on celebrating his legacy and ensuring a fitting farewell.
We kindly ask the general public, especially the media and social media commentators, to be measured and respectful in their commentary regarding the family, any ongoing legal matters, and the funeral arrangements. We believe our father deserves a farewell that reflects the peace, dignity, and unity he valued in life.”
Since the lawsuit became public, many websites and radio stations have incorrectly linked the children to the lawsuit, despite them not being named parties to the suit.
On October 2, 2025, Akosuah Serwaa Fosu filed a civil lawsuit at the Kumasi High Court against Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, Priscilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni, and Transitions Funeral Home.
She is seeking, among other reliefs, a declaration that she is the only surviving spouse of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu.
