Chelsea Tayui from the Volta Region of Ghana has been appointed Miss Universe Ghana 2020.
Chelsea becomes the third Miss Universe Ghana to be crowned under MALZ Promotions.
Chelsea, a former contestant of Miss Ghana2020 is also a recipient of the Top 15 Semi-Finalist Award and the People’s Choice Award in the Miss Illinois USA 2017 Pageant.
Unlike previous editions, contestants for the Miss Universe Ghana were privately interviewed and a winner appointed in line with “fulfilling the regulations and precautionary protocols set out by the government of Ghana and WHO to combat the spread of the novel COVID-l9 pandemic” and had been approved by Miss Universe (International).”
The new direction cut off pre-pageant activities and the glamorous crowning of a queen in Ghana.
Miss Chelsea Tayui will represent Ghana at the Miss Universe World pageant which is expected to take place between January and March 2021.
