Legendary musician Janet Jackson is the latest celebrity to fall for the global wave of the Akwaaba dance.
Ever since it’s debut (Akwaaba), many across the world have performed the Akwaaba dance on different occasions but it comes as a huge surprise especially when a legendary musical figure such as Janet Jackson and her dance ensemble put their own piece together.
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards Icon Winner during her splendid performance at the just ended awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas merged the Akwaaba dance with her own routine which has left many fans stunned.
This performance remains iconic especially as she performed for the first time on TV in almost a decade. She also becomes the 7th musician ever to receive that award.
Among the many who are stunned at the musician’s exhibition of the Akwaaba dance is Afrobeats artist Mr. Eazi who is a part of the original song.
With both hands paired and very little distance between both, Janet Jackson and her dance ensemble beautifully did the Akwaaba dance during her performance.
In March 2018, Ghanaian producer Guilty Beatz teamed up with Mr. Eazi, Patapaa and Pappy Kojo for the monster hit which has since gone viral.
