Skipper of the Blackstars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has commissioned a $200,000 pitch constructed for his former school Accra Academy.
Commissioning the $200,000 Astro Turf at the school’s compound at Bubiiashie near Kaneshie in Accra, Isaac Asiamah ,the Sports Minister mentioned that the gesture typifies high level of volunteerism.
Present at the commissioning was former president Jerry John Rawlings.
The Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre, as it is known aims to help Ghana as a whole and students of Accra Academy in particular to train well and excel well in sports.
