The never-dying music beef between Ghanaians and Nigerians is about to be reignited as a Nigerian has asked that West African neighbours Ghana hands over its music legend Nana Ampadu in exchange of Flavour and Wizkid.
Now, who would have ever thought that a Nigerian who believes “Naija no dey carry last?” would make this request?
Well, a Nigerian by name John Kennedy Ekene is causing mayhem already as he has ‘downplayed’ the music talents of two of Nigeria’s finest musicians pleading that Ghanaians substitute legendary musician Nana Ampadu for the two.
Leaving a comment on Nana Ampadu’s video performance at the first ever Annual General Meeting of the Ghana Music Rights Organization at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, the Nigerian who claims to be an Igbo man raised in the east of Nigeria stated he sang Nana Ampadu’s song in Onitsha in the 80s,90s and continues to enjoy them today as a family man.
In his words, he also described Nana Ampadu’s music “real songs, his music was original, no miming, no computers, nothing artificial, everything was talent and by raw gift”
