BET Award winner for Best International Act, Africa, Stonebwoy Burniton laid his mum to rest on Saturday September 5 2015 at Alakple in Volta Region of Ghana where the artist hails from.
The musician who had earlier in the week put up an energetic and splendid performance at the opening ceremony of Multi Choice Content Showcase Extravaganza held in Mauritius flew back to Ghana to give his dear mum a deserving burial.
In honour of departed mum, Stonebwoy held free concerts for surrounding communities of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
Prior to the mum’s demise, the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Award Artist of the Year released a song dedicated to his mum and all mothers titled Mama.
