South African rap artist Kiernan Jarryd Forbes known professionally as AKA has come under serious attack on Twitter.
Just like it is said in Twi (a local Ghanaian dialect), “A poor man does not advise the rich”, the musician in a tweet stated no one should take advice from individuals who are not living the kind of lives they wish others to live.
According to him, such people are far apart the dreams hence have no better advice.
If someone tries to give you advice, ask yourself … does this person live in the house I want, drive the car I want, or generally live the life I want … if the answer is no, then ask yourself what qualifies this person to dispense ANY sort of advice to you in the first place.

This did not sit well with a number of fans who believe some pieces of advice are worth more than he thinks. A fan quickly asked if his (AKA) parents lived the kind of life he lives and whether he took their advice.
Did your parents live in the house you want? Asking for someone!

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read….so the rich are only meant to give you advice…. sometimes you need advice from different walks of life to get perspective not everything is about wealth pic.twitter.com/9t7TA7SY5A

Positive advise comes from the most unexpected sources. Even a hobo can give you great advise. Not all well off people give good advise, some are even stupid period

Ever thought that maybe having had all of that and lost it could be qualifying criteria??

Sometimes wisdom comes from those who've been at the top and failed to maintain their position in life.

The tweet has since generated a lot of attention with people sharing varied opinions.
AKA, however, maintains his stance as he adds up to his point.
Waaaaay too many broke, unfulfilled and generally unhappy people offering advice to others.

Everybody can tell you how to do it … but they never did it. 🙂
