South African Rapper AKA to land role in hit US TV series Empire?

South African rap artist and BET Awards nominee for Best International Act, Africa 2016 Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known by his stage name AKA may soon land a role in TV Series Empire.

The musician who played host to the main characters of the hit series (Taraji P. Hanson and Terrence Howard) when they visited the beautiful country of South Africa to launch Fox Africa on DSTV Compact bouquet discussed with them the insurgency of African music all around the globe and the need to have it fly farther.

“The coolest thing is that African music and not even the music, it’s across boards is really on the insurgency….It’s never been a better time to be South African at all.” AKA is heard telling Taraji P. Hanson and Terrence Howard who listen attentively.

Amazed at how the crowd cheered to AKA’s All Eyes On Me as he performed at the launch, Lucious Lyon commended him for his art.

“We touching this market and watching the people bounce to your music”, Lucious said.

Cookie Lyon seemed happy with a request by AKA to be given a script as a character from Africa.

AKA: Write me a character from Africa

Cookie Lyon: Absolutely, why not?

It is also heard in the back a conversation that seems to suggest Lucious Lyon would recommend AKA to Lee Daniels. (producer of Empire)

Could AKA be landing a role anytime soon?

In other news, AKA is not happy about the fact such a feat has not made the news. According to him, this because good news doesn’t sell especially when it’s about him.
