Shatta Wale’s ‘After The Storm’ Album launch Concert to be held at the Independence Square

Top rated Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale after his major comeback few years ago will launch his new album ‘After The Storm’ at one of Ghana’s biggest outdoor spaces, the Independence Square.

Speaking to NY DJ on #RYSENSHYNE on Y102.5FM, management member and publicist for Shatta Wale, Chris Koney revealed the album will contain several hit songs such as ‘Hol’ It, ‘Reality’, ‘Kakai’, ‘Chop Kiss’ and many others.

He also disclosed the biggest challenge of the team is the selection of songs that will make it to the album.

“Last year alone, Shatta had over 100 songs and it’s a tight one for us. It’s quite difficult but we’ve already shortlisted over 50 songs and we still have to prune down to find out which one makes the album”

As to whether the album will feature other artists, Chris Koney answered in the affirmative saying, “Yes, the album will feature other artists but will be more of Shatta Wale”

He is also confirmed reports that the album launch concert will be a free concert. This, he says its a way to give back to the fans for the immense support throughout the years.

Speaking on the choice of the Independence Square as venue for the concert, Chris explained the sports stadium would be too small for the artist considering his following.

He assured fans of utmost security and also asked them to be cautious of any fraudulent acts by individuals who may be present.

Ahead of the album launch, Shatta Wale has made available souvenirs including snapback caps and branded T-Shirts which are available for sale.
