Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has applauded Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
This commendation sarcastically put comes after the 19th edition of the awards scheme held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday April 14, 2018.
Nominated for Artist of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year and several others, the leader of the Shatta Movement picked up just one award on the night; one that have left many talking.
Contrary to popular speculations that the dancehall artist who had earlier been on war path with the event organisers would throw shots at them, he rather applauded the organisation for at least awarding him in one category.
Shatta Wale’s collaboration with SM Militants Taking Over was adjudged the Best Collaboration of the year beating Bo Noo Ni by Joe Mettle ft. Luigi Maclean, Sing My Name (remix) by MzVee ft. Patoranking, Jennifer Lomotey by Kurl Songx ft. Sarkodie, Pain Killer by Sarkodie ft. Runtown, Obi Agye Obi Girl by Captain Planet ft. Kofi Kinaata and Na Wash by Becca ft. Patoranking.
In a tweet, he said;
