For many who have long waited for the ‘rain god’ Samini, the storm is over.
After months of wait, Samini has finally announced the name of his highly anticipated 7th studio album Untamed – he announced it in the early hours of Friday, November 1.
He made this announcement via Instagram with a caption:
“Been through the MUD, through the SUN and the RAIN…ONE ting me know, no PAIN no GAIN.” Watch out for my 7th Album titled #Untamed 🦁🦁🎶🇬🇭”
Prior to this, the celebrated Living Legend had wiped out all posts on his Instagram page leaving room to speculations as to whether his account had been hacked.
Reliable information available to Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com indicates Untamed will be a strictly Reggae catalogue.
We also gather the album would not have anything less than 15 songs. However, 3 of the singles have since been released. These include “My Own”, “Obimbra” and “Obaa”.
Meanwhile, Africa 1 Media, Managers of the brand “Samini” are set to roll out plans for the album as well as activities for #Saminifest2018.
But for 2017 when the event went on recess, it had been done annually since 2014.
