International artistes R Kelly, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Nigeria’s D Banj , Lady Gaga and Akon are some of the musicians earmarked to perform at Zimbabwe’s first cultural carnival dubbed ,“Harare International Carnival.”
The festival scheduled to run from May 22-29, is expected to attract multitudes of people from the world tourism family, as the country strengthens its cultural and tourism brand – Zimbabwe a World of Wonders.
The event will be a melting pot of culture where countries are expected to showcase their cultural tapestries through traditional cuisines, dance, historical artefacts and street performances among others.
The climax of the carnival will be the Tourism Night – a musical gala slated for the National Sports Stadium. The event will feature a yet to be to be announced big international musician, a few regional musicians and an array of local artists.
Zambia’s Mampi who collaborated with Rockford Josphats is also expected to be a supporting act. Brazilians touted for their salsa and samba dances will also be the part of the carnival.
