Ghanaian international Richmond Boakye got off to an impressive start upon return to Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.
The forward who had a stint with Chinese side Jiangsu Suning before returning to Red Star Belgrade scored-a-brace in his debut helping his team secure a 6 goals win over FK Radnik Surdulica.
Richmond Boakye was also instrumental as he also made an assist.
Boakye opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when he shot from inside the box. He grabbed his personal second in the 62nd minute.
On September 2, 2018, Richmond Boakye signed a two year contract with Red Star Belgrade.
His return was indeed welcomed by supporters and management of the club as they believed his input will be very much needed in the team’s participation in the 2018 UEFA Champions League.
