The 2013 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off at the Accra International Conference Center with loads of expectations with many patrons betting on an R2Bees night and true to their predictions, the Afrobeats and dancehall group did not disappoint as they swept six of the awards on the night.
With a thrilling opening spoken word performance by Momeen fused with beautiful live performance by sexy singer Efya and Steve Bedi followed by pioneer of the TINA Movement Fuse ODG performing hit singles, patrons were indeed in for their monies worth. Other great performers included Manifest, Amandzeba, E. L, Criss Waddle, Keche, Asem, Kwabena Kwabena, Kwaw Kese, Banky W, V.I.P, Wizkid, Sarkodie and R2Bees.
Performances also included throwbacks from Akatakyie and Kontihene who brought the old feel of the hiplife genre.
