Shawn Carter, aka Jay Z, has been a longtime supporter of the Ace of Spades Champagne brand (since 2006 when he featured it in the 2006 video for “Show Me What You Got”), now the Hip Hop superstar has decided to buy the company.
New York-based Sovereign Brands made the announcement on Wednesday, and revealed that Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades) was sold to a new, unnamed company ran by Jay Z.
“We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac (‘Ace of Spades’) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowned Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter.”
Hov made the purchase for an undisclosed amount.
