7 years since organizing the first edition of the RTP Awards, it seems the many troubles and challenges would not end today.
With just a week to main event, the Radio & Television Personality Awards (RTP), www.entertainmentgh.com reports that Jesse Agyepong, the Chief Operating Officer of the RTP Awards has resigned from the scheme.
According to the portal, the 2016 CIMG ‘Marketing Practitioner of the Year’ mentions among others that things are not working effectively as anticipated and there’s no proper contract between him and Big Events Ghana, organizers of the RTP Awards.
He also asserts that, the public spat between the scheme and George Quaye, host of the GhOne TV’s Pundits show, had a role to play in his decision to resign.
The incessant negative stories that shroud the scheme are also said to have pushed Mr. Agyepong to leave his post, just a few months after joining the scheme.
This, comes in few hours after the Office of the Vice President released a post, disassociating the Vice President from any involvement in the Awards – another blow has hit the scheme.
