Chris Brown‘s troubles are far from over as admission of a probation violation have landed him in front of a Washington, D.C. judge sooner than expected.

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia has filed to move up the court date for his assault trial in the case of whether or not the “Loyal” singer attacked an alleged photobomber outside of a hotel in the city last year.

Brown copped to the incident as being a violation of his probation, but his lawyer Mark Garagos maintains that that does not mean that he’s also guilty of a criminal charge.

The prosecution insists that the “guilty” admission does indicate that he was way too involved and wants the trial to begin as soon as possible, June 25.

Until earlier this week, Brown was on lockdown in a Los Angeles County jail, where he was being held after getting expelled from a court ordered rehab facility. He’s since communicated with fans that he’s “humbled” and focused on music.

He’s on probation for a 2009 felony assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.
