Social media has off late become one of the biggest platforms via which people communicate and it is without doubt that Ghanaians are using these tools for so many reasons.
On Sunday July 29 2014, TV and radio presenter made it to the Twitter trends in Ghana after as a response to a tweet by a fan got the entire nation talking. According to the fan, Jon Germain was one of his least favourite FEMALE artistes in Ghana.
The tweet which did not really go well with the artist and presenter led him to reply calling the fan “Abuwa” which means “an animal” in the local Twi dialect.

The dram would not stop as the fan continued to tease the presenter with subsequent tweets. He explained why he placed the artist in the female category of his list by saying; “Dear @jongermain, I’m sorry I added you to female category, you didn’t deserve the male category becos your sing like a diva”

Jon Germain has since deleted his response to the said fan.
