Ghanaian rap artist Okyeame Kwame has debunked grapevine information that suggests his wife, Annica Nsiah Appau has caused a separation between him (Okyeame Kwame) and his brothers Flowking Stone and Kuntakinte.
As observed by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, the family man in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso laughed off the rumours and absolved his wife of any such rumours. He stated his wife indeed has a very good relationship with his Bradez.
Although he admits there was a bit of friction between the parties from the onset, Okyeame Kwame stated these were basic issues and not anything that could separate them as a family.
“…with her Masters In Administration (branding), Annica had fresh ideas she wished implemented as she believed my managers back then were squandering my money. As at that time, I was doing my own thing with my brothers so they sometimes questioned the fresh ideas, her role and involvement in what we were doing as a family but that could be compared to a baby growing fresh teeth….”
According to Okyeame Kwame, this did not in any way affect the relationship between them.
“If you meet them today, you’ll realise how cool they are. It looks like they are rather married to her,” he said.
Asked if indeed Annica was the reason Flowking Stone and Kuntakinte went on their separate musical journeys (business), the Rap Doctor explained the wife had nothing to do with it.
“At a point, my friends advised Flowking Stone and Kunta to embark on their own journey especially as there were similarities in our styles. That meant they will always walk in my shadow so it was strategically important to be distinct hence the separation from me and my attributes which I think was a great think they did. At first, people always referred to Bradez as Okyeame Kwame’s younger brothers. So this was a strategic decision arrived at by all of us and not caused by my wife”
