NY DJ places 2nd in Best Entertainment Journalist of the Year Category || List of Winners at GN Bank Awards
After several months of anticipation and campaigns, the much talked about GN Bank Awards was held last night, Saturday March 21 2015 at the Accra International Conference Center where several entertainment personalities were rewarded and honoured for their contribution to the industry.
Quite different from several awards, two winners were chosen from all category which were basically made up of 10 nominees. The plague was however presented to one with the second being compensated for coming close to winning the ultimate.
Good for anyone reading from the website, I (Ebenezer Donkoh aka NY DJ) came 2nd in the Best Entertainment Journalist of the Year Category and thanks to all the great lovers of my work who voted massively. I can’t appreciate you enough. Let’s do it big next time. Lol
The awards night also saw amazing live band performances from all the artists billed up for the event including Obaapa Christy, Joyce Blessing, Wiyaala, Efya, Raquel, Daniel Amakye Dede and Shatta Wale who for the first time performed with a live band. EL, who was advertised was however missing,
The DJs for the night were former BBC 1 Xtra’s, Tim Westwood who seemed somehow lost as the crowd involvement was almost zero during his performance and Joy FM’s DJ Black who of course couldn’t fail but delivered.
