- The countdown to the biggest night in Ghanaian music has officially begun.
Charterhouse, the organizers of the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), have announced the official opening of nominations for the 27th edition of the scheme.
The announcement, released on Friday, January 16, 2026, invites all stakeholders in the music industry—including artistes, record labels, producers, and instrumentalists—to submit their works for consideration.
This year’s edition marks another milestone in celebrating the “excellence, innovation, and impact” of the Ghanaian music scene.
As per the official communique signed by Robert Klah, Head of Public Events & Communications at Charterhouse, the 27th TGMA will focus on music works released within the 2025 calendar year (January 1st to December 31st, 2025).
All entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Following the close of submissions in February, the TGMA Board will begin the rigorous process of screening and categorizing entries. Fans can expect the high-octane Nominees Announcement event later in the quarter, which usually sets the stage for the main awards night in May.
