In honor of Cristiano Ronaldo’s 33rd birthday, Nike gifted the Ballon d’Or trophy winner a special edition pair of Air Force 1 Lows, featuring 24K gold Nike swooshes.Cristiano took to social media yesterday (his birthday) to show off the celebratory kicks which came packaged in an exclusive wooden box that includes even more gold detailing.According to Sneaker News, the special edition birthday shoes were designed by Ben Kirschner, the man behind the SF-AF1 series, who now creates exclusive Nike’s for the brand’s biggest athletes. And when it comes to Nike’s exhausting list of global superstars, Cristiano ranks among the most popular, so it’s no surprise that they went all out with the luxurious design.


The color scheme of Cristiano’s new AF1s is similar to the “Golden Patchwork” AF1 CR7 that released last month, although that pair obviously didn’t include actual 24K gold accents. The 24K gold joints won’t ever hit retailers but if you like the design, you can still find the AF1 CR7 for roughly $185 at spots like StockX.
