Nana Oye Lithur Accused of Beating Husband, Having Multiple Sex Partners |Here Are The Divorce Documents
Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Nana Oye Lithur has been accused of allegedly abusing and beating the husband who is currently seeking for a divorce.
According to divorce documents obtained by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture And Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, Nana Oye Lithur among many other things is accused of physically abusing people around her including the husband.
Celebrated lawyer, Tony Lithur requests the courts to grant him a divorce permit as he believes their relationship has gone beyond any form of repair.

When the parties settled down to marriage, petitioner began to notice some unnerving character traits of the Respondent. While petitioner was aware Respondent was aggressive in approach to many things, nothing prepared him for what he later discovered of cruel and instinctively violent traits. She consistently exhibited physical violence and cruelty against every person that has ever lived with the parties, either as household staff or relative,” the petition said.

Following the publication of leaked documents Tony Lithur filed for divorce against Nana Oye Lithur, a former cabinet minister on social media, the Legal practitioner has pleaded with the public to give his family some privacy.
“My attention has been drawn to the publication on social media of the docket copy of a Petition for divorce I have filed against Nana Oye Lithur at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the High Court, Accra and some pictures of us,” Mr Lithur said in a press statement dated June 13, 2018 and signed by him.
“While acknowledging the existence of the filed Petition, I would like to say that the process is an emotional and difficult one for us and our children,” Mr Lithur wrote.
“I would therefore very respectfully and humbly, ask the general public to kindly give us, our children and loved ones some privacy to deal quietly with this painful stage of our lives,” he added.
Mr Tony Lithur’s divorce Petition against Nana Oye Lithur, a former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection [2013 to Jan 2017] was filed on May 2, 2018.
The docket copy was leaked on social media on Tuesday June 12, 2018 and has generated public discussion following the allegations against Nana Oye Lithur and grounds on which Mr Lithur is asking for the divorce.
They have been married for 27 years first under customary on April 14, 1991 and subsequently celebrating the marriage under Ordinance at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra on January 16, 1997.
They have four children.
Mr Lithur is in private legal practice and founded the law firm, Lithur Brew & Company.
Nana Oye Lithur on her part is also a lawyer and principal of the non-governmental organisation (NGO), Centre for Human Rights Advocacy.
