Mother of Beyonce, Tina Knowles has revealed the decision to marry Richard Lawson came after Beyonce Knowles’ daughter Blue Ivy Carter pushed them to get married. The mother of the songstress told People magazine that the idea came in September last year.
“[In September] we went on a boat with Beyonce and Jay-Z and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, ‘Oh, y’all look beautiful. When are y’all getting married?’ ” so Tina recalled. “Richard said, ‘Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?’ ”
Tina and Richard tied the knot on Sunday, April 12 on a super yacht cruising around Newport Beach, California.
