The Chief Executive Officer of Citi FM, Samuel Attah-Mensah has been released by the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI).
This was after he was invited by the National Security Agency for questioning over an on online publication on citifmonline.com about the arrest of a Ghanaian woman who was arrested in the UK for possessing cocaine weighing 12kg.
According to him, his interaction with the BNI on the cocaine issue took just about 3 minutes after which they spent the remaining talking about football economy, others.

Earlier today, the Chief Executive Officer of Accra-based Citi FM, Samuel Attah-Mensah has been picked up by operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations.
The reason for Attah-Mensah’s arrest was then known but just as believed, the Vice President of Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association, (GIBA), was picked up over the publication by the station’s website over a lady busted with 12.5kg of cocaine at the Heathrow Airport in London.
Legal Practitioner Egbert Faigbille wrote on his Facebook wall that Mr. Attah-Mensah has been prevented from seeing his lawyers since he was arrested.
“BNI has detained Samuel Attah-Mensah of Citi FM and will not allow his lawyer access to him,” Faibille wrote on his Facebook wall.
Meanwhile the Narcotics Control Board has issued a statement explaining the circumstances under which the suspected cocaine dealer was arrested.
