While it has been public knowledge since Saturday that Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child with Kanye West, it has finally been confirmed by sister Khloe, who gushed in a Twitter post that both mother and daughter are doing well.
The rumour mill went into overdrive this weekend when it was reported that The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had gone into labour five weeks before her due date, giving birth to a girl at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Elated by the newest Kardashian arrival, sister Khloe took to Twitter yesterday to announce the good news and gush over her sister’s “miracle” baby.
“I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mummy/baby are healthy &resting. We appreciate all of the love,” the reality star wrote.
Hinting that more details will be provided when the time is right, she added:
“More info will come when the time is right! Thank you all for understanding! We love you all dearly! Overwhelmed with love right now ♥.”
While proud parents Kim and Kanye are yet to address the good news, it has been claimed by E! Online that their baby was born weighing in just under 5lbs. Kim was expected to give birth in mid July and surprised everyone with her early delivery, including grandmother Kris Jenner.
According to an insider, the Kardashian matriarch was taken aback by how early her daughter went into labour on Saturday morning and apparently was reduced to tears when after the delivery.
“Kris is just completely overjoyed by the birth of her precious granddaughter,” a source told HollywoodLife.
“Kris is telling everyone that her granddaughter was eager to be with her mummy and daddy on Father’s Day,” the source added.
