After a long wait, the much publicized single from multiple award winning Ghanaian act Sarkodie which features American hiphop act Ace Hood is out and quite expected, social media is talking.
Already number on Twitter trends in Ghana, the song has met mixed reaction. While a section believes the song is good, others believe it was not worth the hype and the long wait.
Among such figures who believes the song is not worth it is outspoken comedian and musician A Plus. Although he admits Sarkodie is a great musician, he describes the new single as “noise” in a post on Facebook.
Read his comment;
“Sarkodie is like Lionel Messi. He’s just too good. But you agree that last year Messi had a bad season? Yeah that is what has happened to Sark. The “New Guy” track is just noise. I wonder if environmental protection have heard it. Anyway, It doesn’t take anything away from him. Sark is still a great guy…..”
Although others sided with him, his comment also received opposing opinions as one follower believed A Plus’ ears needed cleansing.
Controversial entertainment pundit with Multi Media Outfit Luv FM and Nhyira FM in Kumasi also believes the song is a noisy;

Colleague blogger David Mawuli also believes “Only the DUMB will say Sarkodie‘s #NewGuy featuring Ace Hood is NOT sweet! Real Hip-Hop!!! I’ve said it…U can go to HELL if u are one of ’em.”
Publicist for music group Gallaxy, Jonilar Laryea stated he loved the song as well;
“Well I love everything about the #NewGuy ..I’m waiting for that dope negative review by our people as usual.”
Others, including M3nsa of FOKN Bois, Efya, Obrafour, D-Black, Mutombo Da Poet have commended the artist for the work.
