A new queen has been crowned.
Yes, there is a new Miss Malaika in town and it’s no other person than Pearl Nyarko Mensah.
At the grand finale of the prestigious beauty pageant, Pearl was crowned the winner of Miss Malaika 2017 which took place at the National Theatre, Accra on Saturday November 5 2017.
The night saw the final 10 contestants exhibit their unique skills, beauty, and eloquence with performances from the likes of Adina, Kurl Songz, King Promise, Kidi and the 90s bad girl Ebony.
Helen was crowned 2nd runner-up on the night with Vanessa coming in as the first runner-up.
This year’s Miss Malaika had been very competitive as most of the girls had exhibited great qualities to prove each of them deserved to be crowned the beauty queen, but as anticipated by many, Pearl beat the competition on the night.
