Gradually, the clock is fast ticking for the crowning of the next queen for the Miss Ghana Beauty pageant. After qualifying as regional queens, the potential national winners have embarked on many projects and each lady is exhibiting reasons why she deserves the title, Miss Ghana 2015.
These finalists were recently invited to a private viewing of Akwaabytes Art Exhibition on Thursday, October 1 at the newly launched La Mason Space in Icon House, Accra. The ladies walking through the exhibiting center saw pieces crafted in audio, wearable formats, plastic, metal, wood, photography, film, paint and paper, from a radical and inspired group of creatives including Nana Anoff, Panji Anoff, Nii Obodai, Rania Odaymat and Nada Moukarzel. This year, the Artists for Akwaabytes Art Exhibition were joined and inspired by Lebanese artist Jean-Marc Nahas. He had arrived in West Africa for the first time to partake in the show and create some of his pieces in real time.
The 22 beautiful ladies striving to win this year’s crown received a lecture on the Exhibition.
The Akwaabytes Art Exhibition started a day after Miss Ghana 2015 contestants had a private viewing of the works, October 2 and ended on October 8 at the La Maison, Icon House, Stanbic Heights, North Liberation Link, and Airport City.
The grand finale for 2015 Miss Ghana is scheduled to come off in November 2015.
