I’m pretty sure not so many people believed in their dreams when they made known their intentions to go in for one of UK’s biggest reality shows X-Factor but today, the world is going nuts about them.
Ghana’s Mehn on Point which consists of Reggie Zippy and Bollie since the beginning of the competition have had a thing or two that seems to work for them and has on several occasions got the judges commending them for their energetic performances.
Today, the good news is that the two have made it to the most important stage of the competition; final 12 of X-Factor live.
Although making it to the final 12 sounds a bit controversial just as the Telegraph reports, Ghanaians and many others are happy about their feat.
“The third spot could be controversial – it’s gone to Reggie and Bollie, formerly Menn On Point. Clearly the duo has been chosen for entertainment value as opposed to actual talent. But hey, this is the X Factor, not The Voice, and for that we’re all very grateful,” the Telegraph wrote in their live coverage.
The two made it after judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini chose them together with 4th Impact and Alien Uncovered.
Cheryl said of her decision: ‘Obviously we have two very different girl groups, I needed somebody that I knew could deliver and could give us excitement.
‘But they are fantastic, the people who just left the stage are as talented as the ones standing on the stage.’
As stated by the live coverage by the Telegraph, the two also changed their name from Mehn on Point to Reggie and Bollie.
Congrats to the two and hey, this is when they need your votes most.
