Unlike many expect, it seems nothing positive is coming forth from Kwaw Kese’s case now as he has been denied bail for the third time.
A plea by Kwaw Kese’s lawyer, Kwasi Boayitey, to secure bail for his client based on “health issues” was turned down by the Kumasi High Court as he failed to make any provision of a health report that could justify his case.
On the other hand, the state prosecutor Richard Where has revealed the forensic test conducted on the substance the embattled artist was caught smoking has been confirmed as “weed”.
This means until a divine intervention or the judges discretion and interpretation of the law to temper justice with mercy, Kwaw Kese could be heading to jail for 10 years. (Remember, the law is always in the bosom of the judge.)
Kwaw Kese is currently in remand and is expected to reappear before the KMA court on December 22 2014.
