Wayoosi’s recent interview has sparked up some controversy already.
Days after the actor being discharged from the Komfo Anokey Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana where he had been recieving treatment, there seems to be confusion over who actually donated the reported GHC5000 to support the actor pay his bills.
Unlike reports stated earlier, the Wayoosi in an interview stated the money donated to him was from the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare and not the President John Dramani Mahama as many have been made to believe.
According to Zionfelix.net, the actor in an interview with Eugene Moratt on New Mercury FM in Kumasi said;
“Let me clear this issue. It is not true that the president gave me Gh 5,000. What happened was that, James Twumasi Ankrah and Rocksone informed Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare about my sickness.
It was the woman who brought me Gh 5,000. As for president Mahama, it was Mr. Beautiful who told me that the man says he wants to help me by taking me abroad for a transplant. I didn’t hear from the man himself but Mr. Beautiful told me that”.
Earlier, the wife had expressed appreciation to the President for the donation. A member of the NDC, Clement Bonney also known as Br. Beautiful who confirmed that donation some time back also said the President made the donation through the Ministry of Tourism.
This has therefore led to social media debate as to who really donated the money to Wayoosi (Is it even necessary/important? Well, to me NO).
It is unknown if the individuals who presented the money lied or gave the right information.
