The Yuletide is here with us and as part of making merry and leaving a great memory, Media Track Consult, a production company will put smiles on the faces of children with the Xmas Food Carnival 2016 at the Rattray Park in Kumasi.
The carnival which comes off on Saturday, December 24 at 9am is under the theme, “harnessing potentials, one child at a time.”
Speaking with Showbiz on the upcoming event, Marian Mantey, the Event Director said the main aim of of the carnival is to give the children of the Ashanti Region a good time during the festive period.
According to her, Media Track Consult wants to make every December 24 a memorable day in the lives of children in the Ashanti Region.
“During festive occasions, most of the events are held in Accra, depriving children in the other regions of being a part of them.
“The Xmas Food Carnival is a one stop variety show that is engaging throughout the day. It is packed, exciting, interactive and full of surprises that will make children spend quality time with their families, “ she said.
Some of the activities lined up for the day are autograph sessions and picture time with Wofa Santa, traditional dance performances, cooking competition (Teen Chefs), Comedy time. kids boogie down, time with the DJs among others.
Marian said some participants of Talented Kidz are on board, “We are getting them to perform with their own peers, they have responded to be part of it and they are very excited about it. Santaclause (Wofa Santa) will also give out presents, there will be all kinds of gifts that they will appreciate.”
Media Track Consult believes in the value of encouraging reading among children and therefore as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, they will be donating books sponsored by Micheal Lapsley Foundation, educational materials donated by Vista 2000 and supported by Bush Canteen and the Rotary Club of Tema to the Hwereso RC Primary/ MA JHS in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
