Kaywa Threw Me Under The Bus For Advising Him To Conduct Business Ethically – David Nicol-Sey
Ghanaian filmmaker and producer David Nicol-Sey is coming for the head of the CEO of Highly Spiritual Music, David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa for what he describes as acts of hypocrisy by the latter.
In a series of tweets, the filmmaker recounted how Kaywa threw him under the bus for “advising him to conduct business ethically” after securing him and his then-artist Mr Drew their first-ever music acquisition and advance contract.
I recall that after I secured @Kaywabeatz and Mr. Drew their first-ever music acquisition and advance contract, he threw me under the bus for advising him to conduct business ethically. He's now griping about what I specifically warned him against.

Lasmid Leaves Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music
According to David, instead of investing the money from the acquisition into the promotion of the album for increased returns or a possible second acquisition, the label CEO and his artists rather went on a vehicle-purchasing spree leading to the failure of the album.
Instead of using the advance payment to promote the Alpha record and increase returns, or even to ensure a second acquisition for his musicians, as was anticipated. He and his artist went on a vehicle purchasing binge, and the album was a complete failure.

David Nicol-Sey, therefore, finds it hypocritical that Kaywa has for the past weeks been on a media tour whining about the same business ethics he advised him against.
Kaywa has for the past weeks blamed everyone but himself for artists including Lasmid, Mr. Drew, Kurl Songx, Yaw Berk, Krymi, and others leaving his label.
