Popular Ghanaian broadcaster, author, and media personality Kafui Dey has officially announced his departure from the GTV Breakfast Show, marking the end of his four-year tenure on the morning television program.
In a heartfelt personal statement shared on his social media platforms on July 24, 2025, Kafui Dey expressed deep gratitude to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), his co-presenters, producers, directors, the technical crew, the social media team, and the countless guests who shared the screen with him over the years.
His journey with the show began on August 2, 2021, marking a significant chapter in his career and Ghanaian morning television.
“After 4 incredible years, it is time,” he wrote. “Today, I step away from #GTVBreakfast—a journey that began on August 2nd, 2021.”
Kafui Dey’s departure comes as a surprise to many fans who have come to admire his professionalism, calm demeanour, and insightful interviews each morning. Throughout his tenure, he helped shape GTV Breakfast into a vibrant platform for current affairs, culture, lifestyle, and entertainment.
In his statement, Kafui also extended his appreciation to all who supported him through the highs and lows, offering an apology to anyone he may have inadvertently offended during his work.
“This isn’t goodbye. Just the end of a chapter. I believe our paths will cross again—and when they do, we will create even more beautiful memories,” he concluded.
