I Would Make Marijuana Ghana’s Highest Export If I Were President – Uncle Ebo Whyte

With a number of States in the United States of America and other parts of the world legalising the use of marijuana for industrial and medicinal purposes, Ghana is yet to make any major move in this direction.

Yes, despite growing calls by a few including media personalities, Ghana is yet to make any major move or raise discussions on the use of marijuana and its many benefits.

However, Ghana’s favourite playwright James Ebo Whyte popularly known as Uncle Ebo Whyte has revealed he would make marijuana the country’s highest export were he the president.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Uncle Ebo Whyte who had earlier revealed he cut short a promising boxing career at age 14 to sell marijuana said;

“If I’d ever become the president of Ghana, one of my policy initiatives will be to make marijuana our highest export. Do you think if the developed countries could grow this, they would make it a banned substance?”

Like abortion, possession and use of marijuana remains illegal in Ghana and one could spend up to a number of years behind bars for illegal possession.
