Ghanaian rapper Isaac Okine, often known in showbiz as Yaw Siki has indicated he does not know where he is going with his music. According to him, he just wants to keep going up and up with no definite destination in sight.
Similar to cries by most musicians, he complained about inadequate structures which make it very difficult for musicians in Ghana to enjoy maximum returns on their work.
He revealed that as it stands, it is difficult to make a living solely on music and shares in the thought of Gyedu Blay Ambolley. He believes the music industry in Ghana needs more investors on all fronts.
The young man who has been doing music professionally for about five years now was full of praise for colleague rapper, Sarkodie commending him for being a great motivation to many upcoming resident musicians in Tema, agreeing to do collaborations with them and drawing them into his tours and other music programmes.
Yaw Siki was with Kwame Poku (DJ Scientific) on the “Brunch Tyme” on Focus 94.3 when he visited Kumasi on what he termed “Private business”.
