What you need: 1 banana, 1 handful of strawberries, yoghurt, honey


  1. Wash and chop the fruits and vegetables.
  2. Place them in a blender with the yoghurt and honey.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Enjoy!

2. A whole grain bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon

What you need: 1 bagel, cream cheese of your choice, smoked salmon


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. 
  2. Put a whole grain bagel on a baking sheet and spread cream cheese on top. 
  3. Put thin slices of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese. 
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

3. Energy-packed egg whites with a twist

What you need: 3 egg whites, salt, pepper, butter, toast, the fruit of choice


  1. Whisk together the egg whites and milk in a bowl. 
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste. 
  3. Pour the mixture into a heated and greased skillet over medium heat. 
  4. Cook until the egg whites are firm and cooked through, flipping once. 
  5. Serve with toast and fruit.

4. Shakshouka to shake up your day

What you need: onions, peppers, olive oil, diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, red pepper, eggs, bread


  1. Begin by sautéing onions and peppers in a tablespoon of olive oil. 
  2. Once they have softened, add in a can of diced tomatoes and their juice, along with the spices. 
  3. Allow the sauce to simmer for 10 minutes, then crack the eggs into the sauce and cover the pan. 
  4. Poach the eggs until they are cooked to your liking
  5. Serve shakshouka with crusty bread for dipping.
