Award winning Ghanaian actor Abraham Attah will lift the flag of Ghana high as he presents an award at the 88th edition of The Academy Awards popularly referred to as the Oscars.
He joins a list of already announced presenters including Patricia Arquette, Emily Blunt, Louis C.K., Common, Russell Crowe, Chris Evans, Jennifer Garner, Louis Gossett Jr., Rachel McAdams, Dev Patel, Eddie Redmayne, Sarah Silverman, and Sofia Vergara.

Producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement: “Through their work, these artists have shown us the unique, transformative power of cinema. We are delighted they will be joining us on the Oscars stage this year.”
Abraham Atta rose to fame aftre taking up a lead role as a child soldier in the Netflix produced movie ‘Beasts of No Nation.” He acted alongside Idris Elba.
Attah won Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival 2015. He also won ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Black Fim Critics Circle (BFCC). The award scheme called Attah’s role as “one of the strongest and most phenomenal we have ever seen” and added that he had “a very bright future ahead of him”.
The 2016 edition of the Oscars is slated for the 28th of February 2016 and it’s expected to be held at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood. The event will be televised live by the ABC Television Network.
The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
