Ahead of premiering his first self directed movie Why Should I Get Married, Black Avenue’s CEO Desmond Blackmore aka D-Black appeared on e.TV’s The Late Nite Celebrity Show hosted by Giovanni Caleb and touched on some few issues.
Touching on his protégé Joey B and their working relations, the rapper admitted Joey B was putting in a lot of hardwork.
“He is putting a lot of work out there. He is very good and a talented rapper. He is a better rapper than I am and better than most of the guys out there.”
He also spoke about FOKN Bois picking on him on social media and how he’s dealing with that.
“Nothing, I’m too grown for that. These people are like ten years older than I am. Instead of focusing on the future and taking care of their families, they are making useless banter. It’s fun and everybody is doing their thing.”
In times past, M3nsa has appreciated the business aspects of D-Black and likened him to American business mogul P. Diddy who he believes could make more money from his business empire than music and has therefore suggested the boss of Black Avenue Music (B.A.M), D Black stays off making music but rather make money out of the business ideas he has with music.
On Saturday June 1 2014, D Black replied M3nsah via Twitter with a series of tweets;
D Black also spoke about his new ambassadorial deal with Ciroc.
“I got six figures for that Ciroc deal. It feels good because in Africa I’m the third person to be signed. There is Banky W, another artist from South Africa and I am representing in Ghana.”
