The hunger for continuous success by many Ghanaian musicians is quite evident and this is made manifest in the hard work they put up recently.
With a lot of good things coming from Ghanaian musicians over the weekend, multiple award winning reggae and dancehall artist Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known by his stage name Stonebwoy Burniton gave music lovers in America a taste of what makes him the current best artist in Africa (Best International Act, Africa) as he did perform to a sold out crowd during his ‘Go Higher Concert’ at Irving Plaza.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2015 artist of the year winner was hugely supported by a number of A-list Ghanaian musicians including Nyedzilo hit maker Edem, CEO of Black Avenue Music D Black, Shelele singer E.L, Kwamz & Flava, Bright (Buk Bak), Tekno (Nigeria), Selasie and many others.
Opening act Lolaa was a delight to watch as she thrilled thousands of music lovers with an amazing stage act with support from an all female dance group from New York.
Performing with a live band, one could only tell that Stonebwoy has mastered his craft as an international musician.
Stonebwoy is expected to take his Go Higher Concert to Texas, Ohio and Canada soon.
