Empire’s Taraji P. Henson Named ‘Entertainer Of The Year’


USA Today has named actress Taraji P. Henson its 2015 “Entertainer of the Year.”

The spotlight continues to shine on Henson’s role on Empire, the fabulous, fashion-forward and hardworking lady-boss Cookie., recently receiving the title of “most influential fictional character” from TIME.

Empire is currently halfway through its second season, and has found its way into the nominations for both the Emmy’s and the Golden Globes.

Henson recently told USA Today she plans on paving a way for other actors to find success in the new year, saying, “I’m trying to capitalize on the success and get more business. I’m looking to create more opportunities for other young artists coming up behind me, because I can’t do this forever.”

The actress also expressed her gratitude for being named “Entertainer of the Year” on Instagram, with hashtags #WhatAYear and #MoreToCome summing it up wonderfully.
